Facing art is done directly. It is directly made, so seeing it is a direct meeting.
We are facing into the depth of the mystery that art is, the mystery of unknown to known, unseen to seen, unmade to made.
Art makes the person, just ever so much as the person makes the art.
We have faced into the studio, faced into ourselves, faced into the mystery of something from nothing, the last one an illusion of time and space, one in front of the other.
Today we are swimming inside the deep waters of our content, and we are moving the obstacles out of the way. Obstacles to the fact that we can do what it is we do.
The studio is under water today, we enter the door through a wave of desire to be creatively expressive. We rather have expression than experience, so we dive deep into our inner space and find the color, line, shape, texture, and light, that we know is there.
Facing those elements is a joy of elation that feeds our souls and brings us to the expansiveness of who we are, and who we are becoming.
