A step at a time is sometimes what it takes to get from here to there.
In our art practice, we follow the light to find the steps, we listen for what is clear, what sounds a note of resonance that we open to.
Many times we open to a mystery, and we must be willing to remain with the vision, in order to be enveloped by the mystery.
Like moving through fog, the light so near that everything is lit up, you make your way through a step at a time.
If you can maintain contact and allow the unfolding to happen, you can dive deeper into yourself, yielding to the mystery without judging the new sight coming into view. Then you have made room within yourself for the light to flow.
Let the longing rise up through you, the energy motion of physicality, and carry you to a new place that only the numinous light knows, the vision is there waiting for you to respond with your creative self.
In the studio this step is the one that opens all the doors and windows, and lets the air and light pour through. Then can you pick up the paint brush, the writing pen, because you are in a state that resides at the core.
At the core there are no directions, but there is insight. At the core there are no rulers, but there is circumferic bliss. At the core there are no social orders with clubs, but there is a compassionate flow that shows its vision of light.
A flowing creativity asks a lot of its artists, it asks to listen to the notes of light given, and take each one a step at a time.
Stepping into the studio is stepping into the mystery, to not be contracted upon by exterior limitations, is the passage to the next piece of work.
Lifted. The eyes can be lifted up to see what is before them.
Making contact with acceptance is as easy as letting go. There are nests and there are cages.
We prefer to build nests for our art to land upon, rather than cages to capture an image.
Art
is alive to us, not an object to be caught on paper, canvas, or by
photograph, but an aliveness that is breathing within the work you see.
You could say, it is a matter of perspective and how you view it, and
you would be right.
Hope your day finds you able to look ahead to the next step, with the intention of loving what you will see as it unfolds from a space of light.

"There are nests and there are cages"......great visual for us all! Thanks!
Thanks, Sandra. And knowing the light only builds nests is such support for everyone. ~Robert
