How are you going to be with art, if you're afraid to look?

Art is about listening, and looking at what you hear. Look with your ears, look with your eyes, look with your whole body.

When you can look at art, and not judge it, you can look at the world in the same way.

Lift up your foot to see. What have you been standing on that has been trying to raise its head for you to see?

There is a suitcase filled with mystery and it is present there for you to open. Do you open it, or do you wonder what is inside?

The studio is a giant suitcase, and each time you enter it you must open the clasps and lift the lid. How else are you going to know what's inside?

How many years have you been taught not to open the lid? After that first lesson of being told not to open the lid, how many years has it been that you've repeated the phrase to yourself?

Art is about returning to your own true nature. Are you ready to see it yet?
