Art As A Body

Our art has a body, is a body, has a life, is a life of its own. This is a body of work.

As artists we have a deep abiding relationship with work, a sacred practice, a daily, moment by moment companionship with our creativity. And this creates an embodiment of all that we have entered.

In our inner studio, our doors and windows are our heart and eyes, the roof, our head, the floor we stand upon, our feet, rooted into the deep rich earth of the fecundity of our digited numbers.

We are never not inside our art, always present to its presence, and it is always there. Sometime quiet, sometime loud, whatever is needed to Be.

We have found when we feel the most lost, it is the most found, when we feel the most found, it is the most present. Always there, always there, always there.

And we are fleshed books, we are the books we write, the 40 books published and the many many more ready to be published, we are the pages, we are inside the words, we are the images, the photography, collages, paintings, sculpture, we are the volume.

We are employed by the volume and lit by the fire of our creativity. These words you read are threaded and woven from the years of travel and deep listening, they come from the books Su.Sane has written, the books we create and add the images of the body of art. Here the two bodies meet, the body of writing and the body of art, here they merge and become the magic a book is.

A volume. Something so thin that you can carry it in your hand. We employ our books everyday, they are filled to over-flowing with words that carry what the deep dive can give you.

As artists and writers, we are neither, and both. Our life expresses itself this way, the way of listening, in a body that is open to being lighted.

Hope this day finds you in relationship with what you are listening. Share what you hear where it can nurture.

This speaks to our very lives and our commitments as a community to always be in contact with our art of living together with blended purpose. something is hard to explain to others who cannot concept that this is an art form.

Thank you, Sandra, for seeing the commitment of being in contact, always, with our art, the blending of its purpose, the concept that is safe-guarded in the safe haven of our community.
