Comfort of Light

October 1

Hello October, what light you bring, with all those colors dripping from the trees. Ah, and the light coming through the leaves on a crisp fall afternoon.

There is a comfort in light, as there is a comfort in art. When you become comfortable with color, not judging one color better than the other, or certain colors better together than others, then you are a long way toward accepting light.

The studio is filled with light in all sorts of shapes and colors. We open the door and they gather around us like swirling leaves, excited to see us each new day. When you see light that way, how can you not want to be in the studio?

Our paintings are more than surface, texture, paint. They are, of course, alive. For those of you who think things are objects only, will travel through life as an observer, rather than a participant.
But that can change in a second.

Coming in contact with art that "speaks" to you, is such an event.
You really do hear its resonance and respond to it.

All of our art has so much with it, that there are books and books about what is within the art of ours that you see.

We have 37 books published through Blurb Books:

with 14 more we are working on for our December show.

This is to say that the light is generous in its volume, and has given us a way to share its immensity with others.

We have opened the door more winged than most, and we are forever grateful to be able to share what we have seen with those kindred in their desire to see.

Hope this day finds you enveloped in a swirl of color gathering your attention to the story it has to tell.
