July 28
My energy, wow, is at low tide.
Not from painting, not from the work we've been doing.
My energy is between here and there. Here enough to function, be conversant, be mildly focused, and there enough to gather up what we need to bring back here and unfold it.
Ever have one of those days? The kind that has you following yourself around, hoping that what you're doing makes good sense.
Artistically speaking, it's when you are centered in contemplative meditation in a world determined to have you rush along, move along, move along, move along.
After finishing the newest painting, it did ease up… a little. So we headed out to the cafe with our 5 and 11/12ths year old grand-daughter. The chocolate on her face from the four inch diameter cookie is enough to concentrate upon. That, and the word game, words that rhyme. Try that from the ba-zillionth dimension, with a Hello Kitty lunchbox staring at you.
