Now that we've renamed this web log from "Daily Posts"
to "Not So Daily Posts", it feels a bit more comfortable.
We had a wonderful time today teaching the Tibetan monks
more English.
Working with a book called Anno's Mysterious Multiplying Jar,
which is about an ocean inside a jar, and a ship which went to an island, and on the island were two countries, which each had three mountains, and on each mountain were four walled kingdoms, etc.
The monks loved the book. It created a space for lots of conversation about art,
Buddha Nature, Dharma, mandalas, thangka painting, concept of patterns, and the power of multiplying energy within the small space of a piece of art working with a large idea.
We also read poetry from "A Light in the Attic" by Silverstein. It
was a fun way to relate words with humor.
